Yes, you read right. If it has wheels, we can trick it out and make it a head-turning machine. For this build, we are modifying a golf cart to give it an underglow kit, halogen headlights, and an amazing sound system (that is weatherproof, of course). It will be the envy of everybody tailgating on Auburn Gameday!

One of the first priorities to to make sure that the electrical system can handle all that extra juice, so we started by beefin up the battery capacity. Then, we ran the wires and attached the underglow kit and the headlights. ANd you see that Auburn sticker? The plastic frame of the cart is translucent, so a powerful light places behind it inside the cart and shining out was placed in it, creating a silhouette on the cart at night. After getting the lighting hooked, up the fun began: designing the sound system.
This would require a bit of engineering on our part; golf carts aren’t exaclty designed with this sort of thing in mind. But that has never stopped our team before! The first order of business was to remove the cup holder and front kickboards and set up a fiberglass mold that would replace them. We do this not only for sound quality, but also because it looks much more professional. With the fiberglass done, we installed weatherproof/marine speakers and a top-quality radio in the cart. But tha’s not enough for us! We will also modify the roof to hold a couple of speakers to turn this cart into the ultimate tailgate cruiser. With a little wood, fiberglass, and ingenuity, it will soon be ready for the Iron Bowl. Be sure to check back in for pictures of the completed project.
